The Tapestry Poem

I found this poem by Corrie Ten Boom and love it!  She is such an inspirational person!

The Tapestry Poem

My life is but a weaving
Between my God and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He weaveth steadily.

Oft' times He weaveth
sorrow;
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.

Not 'til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas
And reveal the reason why

The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

He knows, He loves, He cares;
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice to Him.

This Year's Doll Dres

Every year, my mom's Smocking Guild raffles off a doll, along with outfits and accessories.  Every member gets to make an outfit for the doll's wardrobe.  This year, I made this dress.  It's my go-to Liberty Jane Clothing pillowcase dress.  It sews up so quickly, and the possibilities are endless.  I absolutely love making these dresses!  So much fun!

Have a blessed day!

A Soap Cozy......

I made this soap cozy for a neighbor recently, using light blue cotton yarn, and this pattern.  I have made lots of soap cozies from this pattern over the years to give to friends, family, and neighbors. What's neat about most soap cozies, like this one, is that you leave the bar of soap in it, and take it in the shower/bath with you.  The cotton yarn is soft, but has a little bit of a roughness to it, which serves as an exfoliator.  Very neat!

Have a great day!
