"Blue Poppies" Doll Top

I love this fun flower print.  This is the first successful shirt I have made with this particular type of pattern where the fabric was stretchy.  It was an interesting experience, but it turned out very well in the end.  :)

White and Pink Pillowcase Doll Dress

I tried something new, and put a contrasting band of fabric on the bottom of a pillowcase dress.  The band is completely encased with no raw edges (all credit to mom there).  A ribbon runs through the top of the dress and ties on one side.  It's always fun trying new things!

Doll Shirt

I recently made this doll shirt from some favorite of fabric of mine.  I used Pixie Faire's California Cami pattern -  one of my all-time favorites!

I have a new favorite doll dress design!  I think this dress is so adorable!  It's the Colorblock Dress by Heritage Doll Fashions.  I will definitely make more of these!

Khaki Doll Pants

My dolls are enjoying their new pair of khaki pants.  They go with everything!  I used Pixie Faire's Jeans pattern.  I love how detailed they are, and think all of the working pockets are so cute!

Doll Dress.......

The Smocking Guild that my Mom is involved in, was having a raffle for an American Girl Doll with a complete wardrobe.  This is the dress I made to contribute to the wardrobe.

It's a pillowcase-style dress made with a Pixie Faire pattern.  I made it from a cute pink floral fabric.  I have used this pattern a lot and really like it.  It sews up very fast and fits the dolls very well.

The pattern for this dress can be found here.

This is the flower I made to go with it.  If interested, you can find the pattern here.

Have a great day!

A New Outfit For Dolly

I recently made this new outfit for a 18" doll.  It has three pieces: a shirt, jeans, and a scarf.

I experimented with the different settings on the camera, and this is what came out.  The colors POP!

Here are the jeans.  I used a Pixie Faire pattern found here.  I love this pattern and have made many pairs of jeans using it.

I used my mom's sewing machine to do some decorative stitching on the pockets.....

And the shirt was made with the free Tank Top pattern, also from Pixie Faire.

Have a great day!

A New Dress For Dolly

I recently made this sundress from some scrap fabric I had.  I think it came out pretty cute!

This dress was made from a Heritage Doll Fashions pattern available through Liberty Jane Clothing.

Here's a picture that shows the entire dress.  The fabric has a white background with teal flowers.

It ties at the shoulders.

And this is the crocheted flower that comes with the dress to go in her hair!  Here's the link to the dress on Etsy .

Have a great day!

Two New Items In The Shop!

I have been a busy busy bee lately cutting out and sewing doll clothes.  And here are a couple of items I've made recently.

This skirt is made from a Liberty Jane Clothing pattern.  And is in my opinion, ADORABLE!  The link to it on Etsy is here  SOLD!

Another picture of the skirt.

It also has a frayed edge.

This hat was my own design and I think it looks really cute with the lime green and hot pink color combination. And the here's the link to it on Etsy.

Have a great day!

A New Dress For Dolly

A few years ago I found out about Liberty Jane Clothing,  and I made several t-shirts for my dolls from their patterns.   I had completely forgotten about how much I loved their patterns until a couple of days ago.

The dress pictured above is the Drawstring Dress.  I was able to complete this dress in about two hours.  The directions are great and it is absolutely adorable.  I can see myself making a lot of these dresses for my dolls this summer!

A New Dress For Miranda....

I have been working on this dress for my doll Miranda. And I have learned alot about making doll patterns while making it.

I have made two but I decided to take a picture of this one since the other one doesn't have a hem or buttons yet. One of the things I learned while making this dress is the importance of seam allowances. After I sewed the buttons and button-holes on I went to put it on Miranda and I realized that the dress was really tight around her middle. And so that was how I learned the importance of seam allowances.

This is the back of the dress. When I was sewing the skirt, I made a mistake, but then I realized that that way it had a train. And so I decided to leave it like that.

Now I need to go finish the next one!!! Have a wonderful day!!!
